MiniBin is an excellent free application for Microsoft Windows operating systems. It allows you to open or edit the Recycle Bin window, either by right clicking on it or by dragging and dropping items onto it from the desktop. If you drag an item onto the Recycle Bin, it will be moved into the Recycle Bin and its information placed in the order in which you have chosen. MiniBin has several features including: making a backup of your hard disk or other data, sorting your hard drive by date, size and other criteria, creating a list of recently used applications, displaying the names and versions of applications you want to remember, creating an outline of your working space, setting the time and date to start your computer, as well as setting a timer. This software will also allow you to restore the auto-complete feature to help you complete the application quickly.
The application can be run directly from your Windows start menu or through the Start Menu / Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs application. MiniBin will prompt you when your PC needs to be updated, or restarted, by either displaying an icon that asks you if you want to update your application, or by displaying a pop up that allows you to select " restart." It is recommended that you use the auto-complete feature of MiniBin so that you don't have to constantly restart the program so that it can update its application database. Unfortunately, if you uninstall this application, it won't uninstall automatically, therefore causing conflict with your other programs and requiring you to repeat the uninstallation process.
MiniBin is free software; however, there is a commercial version that might be useful. The commercial version does have more features and is available for download. The commercial version can also be used to make backups of files and can be used as a background service during startup or as a task bar for the windows system tray. Please visit my website to download the latest free version and free software updates. You can also get a free miniBin scan and find out what other problems it might have.
